Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer Review: Should you get it?

March 15, 2018
Dyson Supersonic hairdryer with stand

Dyson Supersonic hairdryer made me fall in love with blowdrying my hair. And I swear this is not an overstatement. The Supersonic hairdryer retails for SGD599 and the stand, SGD128. It sums up to be a hefty SGD727. And though I’ve always wanted the hairdryer, I just couldn’t justify spending 500+ on it. Sure, I’ve heard […]

  • Dreaming of a getaway...
  • Happy Valentine’s Day @kehchoonwee! 🥰
  • Throwback to team lunch at Stellar in one of tallest buildings in Singapore. The interior was nice, food was great, service good but just slightly curt, view was fabulous! Overall, it seems like a great choice of venue for date night. :)
  • Couldn’t resist these colored churros at Disneyland. 😍
  • New favorite lunch haunt recommended by a colleague. Fu Lin is one eccentric hybrid of a restaurant. The establishment serves yong tau foo in the day, then transforms into a bar at night (hence the shelves of liquor in the background of the picture). Yong tau foo is a common Chinese dish in Singapore where the diner gets to pick some ingredients, usually with a couple of tofu variants, then order it with noodles or rice. If you’re having it at Fu Lin, you must pick the fried ingredients and have it with their specialty meat gravy! Best YTF I’ve eaten so far.
  • Visited the Kwan Im temple at Bugis today and spotted the elaborate and beautiful Sri Krishan Hindu temple bedecked with Chinese New Year decorations. Some devotees on their way to the adjacent Chinese temple will also stop to pay respect to the gods. Such scenes are always heartening to see. 😊
  • Sunset by the rainbow bridge in Odaiba, Tokyo. Odaiba was built on a man-made island and features an imaginative and futuristic landscape. One of the iconic landmarks there is the rainbow bridge which lights up in a kaleidoscope of colours at night. The other must-see attraction is probably the life-sized Gundam statue in front of DiverCity. The statue moves!
  • This photo was taken in Cing Jing, Taiwan. The farm (actually more like an entire area) is a welcomed respite from the vibrant city life with its clear air and lush greenery. Its name, when taken literally, translates to the clear realm.
It’s quite inaccessible by public transport so hiring a driver is very much recommended. The entire area is also littered with numerous homestays; if you’re looking for one, I’ll highly recommend Fon Chin (Julie’s Garden)! :)
